Electrofringe is now accepting proposals from emerging electronic and technology based artists, designers and developers to be part of our annual flagship event EF16, taking place Saturday October 22 & 23 at 107 Projects, Redfern.
We’re seeking projects across all artforms, works can be at any stage of development and we also encourage practitioners to run workshops. This is an opportunity to present new work, share new ideas, receive direct feedback from eager audiences, and connect with peers and industry partners.
Electrofringe presents a diverse range of electronic and technology-based art forms that utilise hacked technologies, DIY software, artist-made machines, computer networks, robotics, wearable technology, wireless technology, immersive virtual reality systems, electronic sound, circuit bending, repurposed corporate and industrial tools, data and internet-based applications, etc.
In particular, we are looking for projects that:
- Present creative or adapted technologies
- Encourage audience participation and interaction
- Challenge the way we think about and use technology and digital media
- Use electronic technologies to critique and comment on social and political issues
- Transcend the boundaries of culture, language and geographic location
- Incorporate multiple sensory modalities
To apply, fill out the application form here.
