For one night only, Electrofringe presents New Terrains, a curated program of experimental electronic art and sound at Top Floor Wellington Street on Thursday 30th June.
This event features artworks by Joe Hamilton (Melbourne), Danny Wild (Canberra), Grace Blake, Ellen.gif and Jannah Quill along with new music by Skyline (Del Lumanta and David Akerman), Kynan Tan and HVISKE (Kusum Normoyle and Peter Blamey).
The selected works, both visual and audible reassemble and refashion familiar landscapes, quotidian objects and ubiquitous technological platforms as uncharted cosmic territories, spaces for intervention, aesthetic bliss and maps that lead us through the multiverse of electronic art towards the limits of perception.
This event also celebrates outgoing Artistic Director Roslyn Helper’s contribution to Electrofringe over the past three years, and welcomes in newly appointed Artistic Director Kimberley Bianca as Electrofringe prepares to turn 20.
New Terrains is an opportunity to check in, look back, look forward, look sideways and define the prism of the present, with multiple visions to multiple futures on multiple platforms.
