Electrofringe is now accepting proposals from emerging electronic and technology based artists to be part of EF15. The event will take place Saturday November 28 at 107 Projects in Redfern.
Electrofringe 2015 is a one-day exhibition and performance event that puts artists and their works in the same place at the same time. It’s an opportunity for artists to present new work, test new ideas and receive direct feedback from audiences, peers and industry.
We present a diverse range of electronic and technology-based artforms that utilise hacked technologies, DIY software, artist-made machines, computer networks, robotics, wearable technology, wireless technology, immersive virtual reality systems, electronic sound, circuit bending, repurposed corporate and industrial technologies, data and internet-based applications etc.
In particular, we are looking for projects that:
- Present artist-created or adapted technologies
- Challenge the way we think about and use technology and digital media
- Use electronic technologies to effectively critique and comment on current social and political issues
Works can be at any stage of development.
Please note that successful artists will need to organise their own equipment and travel arrangements.
To apply, fill out the application form here.
