2nd Order Perceptions, Noo Tropics and the Last Frontier

Presentation of the artist’s current research project on so-called 2nd order perceptions (perceptions of perceptions) which aims to secure these from the vague field of introspection to make them accessible and communicable by the help of internet-based peer review. Method: Web archive with a visual catalogue of key figures (highly abstract 3D animations), crowd sourcing, risk assessment. Long term idea: open source tool for self-empowerment in cognitive field.

This talk will present the first results from project phase 1, based on the artist’s own 2nd order perceptions, and contextualize its relevance for the netculture by showing the current crossovers between research on the brain as social organ, and most recent developments in the web 2.0 sector.
