Tristan is a Melbourne based producer and musician. He’s originally from Adelaide where he studied Jazz Performance at Adelaide University’s Elder Conservatory.
Tristan now divides his time between playing bass for Melbourne indie rock outfit Blackchords, alternative country singer Nick Batterham, playing laptop and producing for experimental/hip-hop/jazz outfit Virtual Proximity as well as producing and DJing under the moniker Tristan James.
In recent years Tristan has lived and worked internationally, working as a DJ and session musician in Beijing, China, as well as touring the UK extensively with his band Blackchords. 2011 saw the release of the debut Tristan James single ‘Who Knows’.
