Scott Brewer is a software developer currently based in Melbourne, Australia; his focusses lies primarily in writing software for Apple platforms (OS X and iOS). Scott holds a Master’s of Design (Sound Design) from the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory (located within RMIT University) and a Graduate Diploma in Software Development (with Honours – also from RMIT).
Scott currently spends most of his time working as part of Art Processors (http://www.artprocessors.net/)- a division of Hobart’s Museum of Old and New Art (http://www.mona.net.au), where his primary role is developing software for iOS devices (iPhone/iPod touch). Along with his work for Art Processors, Scott has most recently worked on the interactive music software AudioMulch (http://www.audiomulch.com) and the iOS application Gig Hound (http://www.gighoundapp.com). Starting with a focus on writing audio software, Scott has more recently been drawn towards interactive and immersive software and has an interest in utilising location to improve software response.
When not writing code he can usually be found playing music as part either Summer Cats or The Motifs and, on his off days, running his fledgeling record label Knock Yr. Socks Off Records (http://www.knockyrsocksoff.com)
